Next-Steps Employment Centres are a free resource centre and employment agency serving the Greater Toronto Area with seven locations: Don Mills, Downsview, Riverdale, Scarborough, Mississauga North, Mississauga East, and Vaughan. We help Ontario residents, including newcomers, with:Ìý

  • Job matching with reputable employersÌý
  • Job search supportÌý
  • Help developing your resume and cover letterÌý
  • Improving your interview skillsÌý
  • Career explorationÌý
  • Job placement supportsÌý
  • Skills development and trainingÌý
  • Applying to 

You can visit one of our locations to use a printer, scanner, fax machine, phone, or computer for free.Ìý

We also provide support for employment-related needs, such as transportation costs and acquiring a business attire for job interviews, upon meeting eligibility requirements. From bus tickets to ties, we can help you on your job search.Ìý

Registration is required to access our services. Individuals must meet eligibility criteria, including unemployment or underemployment, to register. Ìý

Important Notice Regarding the Collection, Use and Protection of Your Social Insurance Number (SIN):

Due to the requirement of the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, we will ask for your Social Insurance Number (SIN). We are authorized and have a legitimate need to know your Social Insurance Number (SIN) for the purpose of service delivery.

Eligibility: Is this program right for you?

All are welcome to use our Resource Centres. For one-on-one job search support and registration to our events and workshops, individuals must*:Ìý

  • Aged 16 and upÌý
  • Have a valid 900-series SINÌý
  • Be an Ontario residentÌý
